Earlier this month, Project 11 received a “new start” designation and 19.5 million in federal funds to support the Houston Ship Channel widening. The widening of the Houston Ship Channel is big news because this will facilitate easier maritime commerce and create more jobs for Texans in the Houston Port Region.
